Cross-platform short-form

RecommendedCleanest cross-platform UX. Edit once, ship to 6 platforms.

Most creators waste an hour a day cross-posting by hand. Post Bridge replaces that hour with one upload form. CapCut handles the edit, Claude tailors captions per platform (algorithms reward different tones), Post Bridge schedules the lot.

Per-platform caption tailoring

TikTok captions ride a different algorithm than YouTube Shorts descriptions. Claude rewrites a single source caption into 6 platform-shaped variants in one prompt.

Workflow
  1. 1
    Edit in CapCutCapCut

9:16, captions, music duck. Export at 1080×1920, H.264, 10–12 Mbps.

  2. 2
    Caption pass with ClaudeClaude

One Claude turn per video → 6 platform-shaped caption variants.

    Prompt · Per-platform caption rewriter
Take the source caption below and rewrite it for 6 platforms. Each platform's caption follows its native algorithm and audience expectation.

Source caption (write this once, optimized for TikTok):
    """
    {{paste TikTok-style caption}}
    """

Video summary (so context isn't lost):
    """
    {{1 sentence: what the video is about + the 1 key takeaway}}
    """

    Output, in this order:

    1. **TikTok** — exactly the source caption, lightly edited for hooks. 150 chars max.
    2. **Instagram Reels** — 220 chars max. Slightly more polished tone. 1 to 3 hashtags at end.
    3. **YouTube Shorts** — 100 chars (title) + 200 chars (description). Searchable phrasing matters here.
    4. **X** — 220 chars. Lead with the hook. No hashtags.
    5. **LinkedIn** — 600 chars. Conversational, professional, 1 line break per sentence. End with a single specific question.
    6. **Threads** — 300 chars. Punchier than IG. No hashtags.

    Constraints across all six:
    - No "in this video", no "watch till the end".
    - One concrete number, name, or example.
    - No emojis unless the source caption uses them.
    - No em dashes.
  3. 3
    Schedule in Post BridgePost Bridge

One upload, attach the 6 captions, set posting times per platform (IG Reels: 7pm local; YT Shorts: morning; TikTok: anytime; X: 9am).

  4. 4
    Read the analyticsPost Bridge

Post Bridge unified view tells you which platform drove the views. Double down where the watch time is. Don't chase platforms with low retention.

What it produced
Solo creator, niche education account

Switched from posting-by-hand to this stack. Daily output stayed constant; time spent on distribution dropped from 50 to 12 min/day. Discovered (via Post Bridge analytics) that 65% of views came from YT Shorts, not TikTok — reallocated thumbnail attention accordingly.

Common pitfalls
Identical captions across platforms

Each platform's algorithm rewards different things. The whole point of the Claude step is per-platform variants. Skipping this kills reach by ~30% based on creator surveys.

Posting at the same time everywhere

TikTok prime time is not LinkedIn prime time. Use Post Bridge's per-platform scheduling, not the 'post now to all' button.
